Heart and Soul workshop day – help and ideas needed!

A note from Marie about a proposed day of workshops to be run under the banner of Transition Leicester’s Heart and Soul group in February 2010 – including art, visioning the future, communicating about our emotions and anything else that people would like to offer…

I am in the process of organising an event under the Heart & Soul banner for the new year – probably some time in February at the Friends meeting house. The event will be a one day Transition Heart & Soul experience and at present I am thinking it will be along the following lines:

1.Begin day with a brief talk about heart & soul work and why its important.

2.Follow with a series of workshops throughout the day – here are some possible ideas – Visioning the Future (art-based workshop), Meditation, Dance, Introduction to NVC, closing with Taize-type singing at the end of the day.

3. All participants bringing food to share (as in apple day) and sell.

What I would like is for anyone interested to contact me with their idea for running a workshop – at the moment I am intending to run the art-based Visioning workshop and perhaps the Meditation one (one in the morning, one in the afternoon) Workshops or talks can be as long as you want them to be – 1/2 hour up to 2 hours.

You all have lots of skills – this is an opportunity to contribute to raising awareness in the way that uses those skills. If you are interested, please contact me and we can arrange to get together to organise the day.
