4. Fairtrade Fortnight 2010 – Cocoa farmers visit

When: Thursday 25th February, buffet lunch available from 12.15, presentation begins at 12.30
Where: Courtyard Room, LCB Depot, Rutland Street, Leicester

During Fairtrade Fortnight this year two cocoa farmers from the Kuapa Kokoo’s cooperative in Ghana will be visiting Leicester to give some presentations on the impact Fairtrade has on farmers and producers in the developing world.  On Thursday 25th February we will be holding a lunch where Councillors, business & community leaders and interested individuals from across the city are being invited to come along and hear first-hand how Fairtrade has improved the lives of communities in Ghana.

A buffet lunch will be provided as well of course as some Divine Fairtrade chocolate to sample!  This is a great opportunity to understand why it is important for individuals and organisations across the city to support Fairtrade.

Refreshments will be available from 12.15 and the growers will be talking from 12.30.  If you would like to attend please book your place by contacting Debbie Hill on or calling Helen Lansdown on 0116 252 6770.
