Free support for Leicester businesses to save energy

Info below about Leicester City Council’s “What’s your plan?” project…

Business builder, part of the Leicestershire Chamber of Commerce, is working on behalfof Leicester City Council to offer businesses a free service to help reduce their carbon dioxide emissions.

The ‘Climate Change – What’s your plan’ service involves a short, informal meeting with one of Business Builder’s Climate Change Officers who will conduct an environmental survey in order to produce a personalised action plan for you.

The action plan will not only give simple strategies to reduce energy usage, but will also look at other issues such as water, waste and transport. This means that not only may you be able to reduce your costs, but there is also potential for you to market your business as environmentally friendly, appealing to a wider range of customers and increasing your competitiveness.

You will also have the satisfaction of contributing to Leicester City’s target of becoming asustainable city and helping to reduce the impacts of climate change.

We all know that energy prices and building costs are rising and this free service can help identify a range of low or no cost solutions to help improve the efficiency of your business and drive these costs down.
