At the Communities and Climate Action conference last week, a new online map for all community groups and projects acting on climate change was launched.
It was produced by the social enterprise Mapping for Change, and will be a long-term project, developing over the years ahead. The map is now on-line at www.communitymaps.org.uk/ukclimateaction.
The map will:
* Help anyone wishing to take action to find a group near where they live
* Enable organisations to find others doing similar work
* Show funders and other agencies what is (and isn’t) happening
* Chart and record the development of the climate and community sector
Any group can put themselves on the map: to do this you will need to register as a user. You will need your group details and postcode. You can add information, weblinks and photographs.
