The campaign hots up against the feed-in tariff cuts

After the Government announced  a major cut to the feed-in tariff (FIT) for new solar photovoltaic installations (reducing the highest rate from 43p to 21p – see here), lots of action is underway to reduce or reverse the change.

The Cut don’t Kill campaign, organised by solar industry organisations, is holding a rally of parliament on Tuesday 22nd November. Members of the public are encouraged to lobby their MP prior to the the rally and the debate on feed-in tariffs in parliament on November 23rd. A full briefing on the issue is available here:

Meanwhile, both Friends of the Earth and a group of solar installers including Solar Century are mounting a legal challenge against the short notice cut to FIT funding. More information here.
