Transition Leicester has been active since late 2007 and became an official Transition Initiative in March 2008.
We are a network of local people focussed on the positive opportunities that a shift towards sustainable living offers to our community. We organise projects, events, talks, stalls and workshops to try and engage and involve local people and take practical action to make Leicester a more resilient and low-carbon community.
We have a core of around 30 local volunteers, and hundreds of other people have contributed to or attended our projects or events.
