EVERYONE in Transition Leicester is a volunteer so there’s a great atmosphere and community of working together. Its fun and supportive social network and we are always looking for more people to join us in active roles – helping out with existing projects or following your own interests and setting up new ones.
Volunteer Roles
We are actively seeking people who’d like to join and assist the Steering Group and people to help organise the Green Light festival. Get in touch if you’re interested in any of these opportunities.
Core group roles that we would appreciate assistance with include:
- Treasurer
- Fundraiser
- Meeting chair
- Secretary
- Archiving
- Communications
- Publicity coordination
- Networking
- Volunteer coordination
- Internal network and project support
- Development overview / strategy
Other volunteer roles include
- Fundraising assistance
- Design work and artistic assistance
- Sign painting / display making
- Photographer
- Press assistance (writing reviews)
- Event support
- Leaflet distribution
- Listings and online promotion (could include facebook & twitter)
- Organiser for the Sunday Book Club
- Swapshop support or coordinator
We’ll offer you a chance to:
- use your skills and develop new ones
- meet other people with similar interests
- be involved in this lively group of volunteers, encouraging people in Leicester to play their part
- a chance to make a difference on global issues and in your local community
